What is Family Dog Mediator
FDM’s are certified Pet Professionals who are trained to assess each animal based on their L-E-G-S (Learning, Environment, Genetics, Self) and goes beyond traditional dog training to help build a bridge between the “how” and the” why” of dog behavior by looking at whole picture of the species through the lens of ethology (the study of animal behaviour) that are unique to each individual.

What is a balanced trainer?
Balanced trainers will use positive reinforcement and the appropriate training tool that will provide you and your pet with the best result. Balanced trainers use an array of tools ranging from slip leads, head halters, ecollars, or prong collar. We primarily use Heathers Heroes Sidekick for the majority of our clients, but are well versed in all areas.
How Long Does It Take To Train A Dog?
The length of time it takes to train a dog depends on a variety of factors, including the age and breed of the dog, the training methods used, and the consistency and dedication of the owner. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months to fully train a dog.
Is There A Discount For Multiple Dogs?
Yes! When you purchase a training package the rates for multiple dogs will be applied.
Do you use Positive Reinforcement?
Of course! We use a treats and verbal praise when your dog is successful. Timing is everything with training!
Can Older Dogs Be Trained?
Yes, older dogs can be trained, although it may take longer and require more patience than training a puppy. The key to training an older dog is consistency and positive reinforcement.
